Ho raccolto sul nostro forum queste informazioni che vengono spesso chieste dai nuovi iscritti (tipo paoletto99).
Ho creato questo un piccolo Topic sull'argomento, così non si dovrà rispondere sempre alle stesse domande. Un ringraziamento va a colui/coloro che mi hanno permesso (ricerca-copia-incolla) di creare questo Topic. Se ci sono degli errori basta un MP e poi correggo.

B400 Y (1998-1999) faro singolo, gruppo luci posteriore slanciato frecce bianche, alimentazione a carburatore, dischi freni bucati, fondino cruscotto argento, Euro 0 il '98 e Euro 1 il '99 (se fate mettere il bollino sul libretto). Euro 0.

B400 Z (2000) come il modello Y ma con frecce gialle e particolari cromatici della carena non in tinta col resto, fondino cruscotto nero, Euro 1.

B400 K1 e K2 detto anche modello Business (2001-2002) parte anteriore come i modelli Y e Z e parte posteriore più moderna, bagagliaio da 53 litri, gruppo ottico posteriore in stile "Mercedes", alimentazione sempre a carburatore. Non so le differenze tra K1 e K2, Euro 1.

B400 K3 (2003) doppio faro, telaio ridisegnato, forcelle modificate, bagagliaio da 53 litri, gruppo ottico posteriore ridisegnato, iniezione, catalizzato, boomerang nero, frecce gialle, scarico non più interamente cromato, dischi non bucati, contagiri, Euro 2.

B400 K4 (2004) come il K3 ma con cassettini che ruotano, e il quadrante del tachimetro con le tacche più ravvicinate. Euro 2.

B400 K5 (2005) come K4 ma con boomerang in tinta, frecce bianche, immobilizer, protezione fari all'accensione, Euro 2.

B400 K5 (2005) - Type S con boomerang in tinta, frecce bianche, immobilizer, protezione fari all'accensione, Euro 2, pezzo in plastica nero copri freni ruota posteriore, cupolino basso fumé, specchietti piatti acciaio satinato con stelo corto, manubrio senza copertura di plastica cromato, spoiler posteriore in tinta, fondo strumentazione bianco con lancette e illuminazione rossa, paracalore e terminale marmitta argento satinato, e bordo in rilievo su cuciture della sella.

B400 K6 (2006) Come K5 ma con colorazioni differenti, Euro 2

B400 K7 (da metà 2006) bagagliaio da 64 litri, doppio faro "sguercio" ridisegnato, prese d'aria anteriori, niente più schienalino, né frenata combinata, gruppo ottico posteriore ridisegnato, dischi nuovamente bucati, doppio disco anteriore, doppio albero a camme, sensore velocità sull'asse posteriore, ruota anteriore più alta e posteriore più larga, scarico ovale, nuovo cruscotto con display digitale, Euro 3. Il K7 passa da una cilindrata di 385 cc. del "vecchio" motore con 32 cv a 400 cc. con 34 cv.

E' stato lo scooter Suzuki di più alta cilindrata fino all'avvento del Burgman 650. Il Burgman AN400 è comparso per la prima volta nel 1998. In occidente è conosciuto come Burgman ma in Giappone si chiama Skywave. In questa pagina non si farà distinzione tra i modelli occidentali e quelli giapponesi.

From beginning of the 2003 year's model the AN400 has electric fuel injection like its big brother, AN600 Burgman — as well as 14 other Suzuki motorcycle models in 2003. In Japan, where the model is called Skywave 400 (BC-CK43A), a Limited Edition model was also available in Pearl Novelty Black / Variable Silver Metallic (LT3).

Vorrei conferma dai possessori dei modelli K3 e K4 su due particolari.

K3: Cassettini laterali con solo movimento su e giù (di questo ne sono certo) e che, guardando nel foro presente nella carena laterale in basso esattamente nel punto opposto al cavalletto laterale, si intravvede un connettore nero.

K4: Cassettini laterali che ruotano sull'asse e connettore verde visibile dal foro nella carena.

Cassettini invece ad apertura solo verticale.
